Custom Pet Portraits

Capturing the personalities, expressions, and moments that make them unforgettable.

The Pets we call Family

Looking for something truly meaningful? A custom coloured pencil portrait is a one-of-a-kind way to celebrate the love you share with your pet.

Each piece is hand drawn with care and intention, capturing your companion's personality, expression, and the little details that make them who they are. Whether it's a heartfelt gift or a lasting keepsake for yourself, this is a beautiful way to honour a bond that changed your life.

These aren't just pet portraits. They're a way to hold onto the dogs and cats who became family.

Every portrait is built slowly, layer by layer, focusing on the details that matter most, the softness of their fur, the light in their eyes, and the expression that feels unmistakably theirs. Whether your companion is still curled up beside you or forever held in your heart, my goal is simple: when you look at your portrait, it feels like them.

Each portrait is created as a one-of-a-kind keepsake, celebrating the memories, personality, and connection that made your companion so special.

Each Portrait Includes:

🐾 Hand-drawn coloured pencil portrait on professional artist paper

🐾 Head and neck composition

🐾 Created from high-quality reference photos

🐾 Original artwork (frame not included)

🐾 Secure packaging and tracked shipping

Please note that shipping and handling, customs are not included in the price.

Backgrounds are not included by default, but if you'd like something added to better reflect your pet's personality, feel free to reach out and we can discuss options.

Have more than one beloved companion (like I do... a house full of love)? I'd be happy to create a portrait that includes them together. Reach out and we can create a composition that feels right for them all.

Please note that portraits featuring multiple pets require additional time and detail, so an additional fee will apply. Feel free to reach out and I'll be happy to provide a quote based on the composition you're envisioning.

Choosing Your Photos

The best portraits start with great reference photos.

Please send 3–5 of your favourite images that capture your pet's personality and expression. Along with those, I also ask for a few additional photos that clearly show their eyes, markings, and fur colour. Photos taken in different lighting, both indoors and outdoors, are especially helpful.

While you're welcome to send me your favourite images, I will choose the photo that works best as a drawing. Sometimes the strongest portrait comes from a different image than you might expect, and having several photos allows me to create the best possible piece.

Most portraits are created as head and neck compositions. However, depending on the photos you send and the image that inspires the final artwork, I may include more of the chest or even the full body. Every portrait is approached individually, and I choose the composition that I feel best captures your pet's personality, presence, and what makes them uniquely them.

If there's anything specific you'd like me to include, focus on, or leave out, just let me know.

My goal is to create a portrait that feels true to your companion, so when you look at it, you're reminded of exactly why you love them. 🐾

The more photos you can share, the better I can get to know your companion and create a portrait that truly feels like them. 🐾

Most of my commissioned portraits are dogs and cats, but they're certainly not the only animals I draw. If you have a horse, bunny, bird, or another beloved companion you'd like captured in coloured pencil, I'd love to hear about them.

Wildlife is actually what I find myself most drawn to. It's what you'll usually find on my drawing desk when I'm not working on commissions, the pieces I create for fun, inspiration, and the pure joy of drawing. Bears, tigers, elephants, giraffes, and other wild animals have always captured my imagination. So, if there's a particular animal that's meaningful to you, whether it's a bear, tiger, elephant, giraffe, or something else entirely, feel free to reach out and we can discuss what's possible.

Because each portrait is created specifically for you and your pet, all custom artwork and deposits are non-refundable.

Portrait Timeline & Process

Each portrait is created by hand, one layer at a time. Most pieces take approximately 4–6 weeks to complete, allowing me the time to focus on the details that make your companion who they are.

A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your place in my schedule, with the remaining balance due once your portrait is finished.

If you have a special occasion, birthday, or memorial date in mind, please let me know when you reach out. While I can't guarantee rush orders, I'll always do my best to accommodate important dates whenever possible.

Once your portrait is complete, it will be carefully packaged and shipped with tracking so you can follow its journey home.

If you have any questions along the way, don't hesitate to ask. I'm always happy to chat and help make the process as easy as possible. 🐾

A Note About My Style

My goal isn't simply to copy a photograph. It's to create a portrait that feels like your pet.

Every piece is hand drawn in coloured pencil and created through my own artistic process. I pay close attention to the details that matter most, expression, personality, markings, and the little things that make your companion uniquely them.

While I work hard to create an accurate likeness, each portrait is an original piece of artwork rather than an exact photographic replica. The final result may vary slightly from the reference photos as I make artistic decisions about composition, lighting, colour, and detail throughout the process.

Photo quality, lighting conditions, image resolution, and viewing angles can also affect how certain details translate from a photograph to paper.

What matters most to me is that when you look at the finished portrait, you recognize your pet and the qualities that made them special. 🐾

My Approach &

Why I ask for multiple photos?

The more photos I can see, the better I can understand your pet’s expression, colouring, and personality. I don't just look for a clear photo. I look for the expression that feels like them.

Sometimes that's the goofy grin they always wore. Sometimes it's the quiet look they gave you from across the room. My goal is to create a portrait that captures more than appearance, I want it to feel familiar every time you see it.
