You Know You’re an Artist When…” (5 Fun Truths I’ve Learned Along the Way)

Being an artist comes with its own unique quirks and joys. Here are just a few fun truths I’ve picked up on my creative journey:

You know you’re an artist when…

You lose track of time because you’re deep in the “flow”... and suddenly it’s dark outside.

You know you’re an artist when…

You have a drawer full of art supplies—but somehow still need just one more pencil.

You know you’re an artist when…

You emotionally bond with a drawing before it’s even finished.

You know you’re an artist when…

You get weirdly excited about a new paper texture or the perfect shade of brown.

You know you’re an artist when…

You feel things deeply—and let your heart speak through your hands.

There’s joy in every part of this journey: the quiet days, the inspired rush, the messy in-between. Being an artist means I get to create from love, for love, and with love.

And honestly? I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

With love
