Why Being an Artist Means I Get to Chase Magic Every Day

There’s something magical about being an artist.

Not the kind with sparkles or wands—but the kind that lets you turn a blank page into something alive. Being an artist means I get to chase wonder for a living. I get to see the world not just as it is, but as it feels.

I can take a sleepy bear cub, a laughing dog, or two cuddled-up foxes—and freeze a moment in time that whispers love to anyone who sees it.

Art gives me permission to dream. To notice the little things. To create moments of stillness and connection in a world that moves too fast. And honestly? That’s a kind of everyday magic I never want to take for granted.

With love

Nancy
